Java Production Support Engineer

Working in the Level 3 support team, you will be responsible for trouble tickets escalated from the Help Desk which need in-depth database and software investigation at the source code level. You need to have great troubleshooting and debugging skills, as well as Java and SQL experience, so you can analyze the problems and make appropriate changes quickly and accurately. As you may need to talk to business logic experts, quality assurance, and senior engineering staff to resolve the ticket, great communication skills are essential.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Java and SQL.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a software engineer
  • Familiarity with using a revision control application, preferably Borland’s StarTeam
  • Demonstrated excellent problem analysis and solving skills.
  • The ability to write and speak concisely and effectively.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • Some knowledge of Accounting.
  • Some medical laboratory or other medical industry background.
  • Experience with Java-based automated testing tools, such as JUnit.
  • Experience with X.12 EDI transactions
