Software Test Engineer
Continuing its expansion, XIFIN, Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated, full-time Software Test Engineer to help us ensure that our products are delivered with the highest possible quality.
You must have a passion for quality. Working with stakeholders, developers, and other QA team members, you will help us to plan quality into our products. You will be reviewing specifications, planning and performing functional, integration, and system testing, as well as enhancing our test suites. You must be a good oral and written communicator, with the people skills to match, get up to speed quickly, and work efficiently and effectively both independently and in a team.

Specific Duties
- Gaining a thorough understanding of our products and their architecture in order to produce good use cases and test plans that will ensure our products are of the highest quality.
- Ensuring that quality is a priority and built into all stages of the development lifecycle, providing assistance to other departments in the design and implementation of test plans.
- Reviewing functional, design, and repair specifications, and deriving use cases and test plans.
- Configuring, executing, and enhancing test suites and frameworks, and performing directed and undirected manual testing of new features, repairs, and documentation
- Identifying and recording defects, summarizing and communicating results, and coordinating efforts of team members to ensure timely and complete resolution of defects.
- Performing basic project management tasks including planning, resource estimating, status reporting, and scope management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A passion for product quality; an ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- 3+ years of hands-on QA experience testing web-based, n-tier applications, including black box, gray box, and automated testing.
- 1+ year developing and implementing effective test plans and test cases.
- Demonstrable knowledge of RDBMS principles and SQL at an intermediate level.
- Solid skills in analysis, decision-making, and problem solving, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
- Good knowledge of processes, methods, tools, and technologies used to create and support defect-free software.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Experience building test harnesses using Java in a JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, or Fit environment.
- Experience working with automated testing tools such as Quality Center.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, or related domain knowledge.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable.
- B.S. in Software Engineering or related discipline, certification, or other formal training.
