SunAlliance Healthcare Services Moves Beyond Software
to Improve Laboratory Billing Operations by Choosing XIFIN
San Diego, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 2002--
SunAlliance Healthcare Services, a Subsidiary of Sun Healthcare Group,
Agrees to Replace its Laboratory Billing Software with XIFIN's Accounts
Receive Management System and Services
XIFIN announces an agreement with SunAlliance Healthcare Services
of Escondido, Calif. to install and deliver its comprehensive infrastructure
management system and services for their laboratory billing operations.
Like most health care providers, laboratory billing departments
have been losing ground in their efforts to effectively and efficiently
manage their accounts receivable. The costs have been enormous,
not only in bad debt and burgeoning administrative costs, but also
in compliance liabilities as well as management time. The challenge
has been caused by inadequate systems and infrastructure to manage
and support the process. HIPAA, and now the Sarbanes-Oxley Act significantly
add to their already overwhelming burden.
Web-based technologies have created completely new options that
provide much more than software. Besides delivering continuously
managed expert applications that transform the processing and management
of the entire billing process, XIFIN contracts, tightly integrates,
and manages the complete set of transaction related services and
resources necessary to manage a claim from order entry through payment
posting.
"XIFIN was the obvious choice," remarked Jenny Clarke,
president of SunAlliance Healthcare Services. "We initially
sought-out XIFIN assistance because of their preeminent knowledge
of large laboratory AR management. What we found was a unique offering
that delivers real-time expertise to our billing staff's desktops
and continuously managed systems and services. Existing software
solutions cannot begin to match what XIFIN delivers with their standard
offering."
"SunAlliance Healthcare Services decision to embrace XIFIN's
approach for managing financial resources is yet another example
of a well-run health care provider recognizing the inherent inadequacy
of existing billing software solutions," noted Lale White,
CEO of XIFIN. "Software is limited by the state of technology
and the experience set of its developer. Our use of expert services
embedded throughout the workflow fills these gaps, creating a richer,
more complete solution."
