Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer with solid experience in the setup and execution of system testing on Java distributed applications to assist in implementing an Internet-based financial system. This includea being involved with all release efforts to define the appropriate test conditions, develop test plans, setup and maintain a test data repository, and execute function, integration, load, business cycle, user interface, performance, stress, volume, security and access control, configuration, and installation tests.

Duties Include:

• Plan, design, and implement test strategies, guidelines, procedures, plans, cases and scripts
• Create testing procedures, and automate them where applicable
• Execute developed product test suites, and identify discrepancies found
• Manage defect and enhancement tracking databases
• Document, evaluate, analyze, and interpret data collected during testing
• Summarize test results in formal test analysis reports
• Define process, standards, and measurement criteria for application readiness certification and release

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• B.S. in technical discipline, certification, or other formal training
• 4+ years experience in a software testing role working with relational databases and distributed applications
• Structured Testing Methodologies and Tools
• Problem Analysis and Solving

Desirable:

• Experience working with automated testing tools such as Mercury Test Director and/or LoadRunner
• Knowledge of the medical industry
• Knowledge of accounts receivable systems
