Announcing the AMA Mapping Review Panel

An important part of the development of CPT CodeBridge is an open and transparent process that will allow industry stakeholders the opportunity to review and comment on proposed mapping of Z-Code Identifiers to CPT codes. To achieve this, the AMA will be appointing a Mapping Review Panel (MRP) who will advise the AMA on appropriate mapping. Along with representation by the CPT Editorial Panel and certain CPT Panel workgroups, the MRP will be comprised of members from various industry segments. These could include, but are not limited to, independent labs performing molecular services, private payers, professional/industry organizations and EHR developers. Members of MRP will provide strategic advice and guidance to AMA staff by reviewing and making recommendations regarding the mapping process as well as the appropriate mapping of Z-Code Identifiers to CPT codes. The AMA is currently recruiting individuals for the MRP.
