4% Payment Reductions effective 7/1/16

Effective with dates of service on and after July 1, 2016, all payments issued by the Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP) will be reduced by 4% due to budget shortfall requirements as directed by the governor’s office. The 4% payment reduction will be reported in the cutback/denied amount line on the remittance advice (RA). The reduction will be identified using claim adjustment reason code 131 (Claim specific negotiated discount).
