Family PACT and Medi-Cal Family Planning Code Conversions
July 1, 2013Effective for dates of service on or after December 30, 2013, the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will discontinue use of the most current Family PACT (Family Planning Access Care and Treatment) Program and Medi-Cal Family Planning HCPCS III local codes. The local codes will be replaced with HCPCS II national HIPAA compliant codes. This article provides information about a public comment period for these changes.

Notice is hereby given that DHCS will conduct written public proceedings, during which time any interested person may present statements, arguments or contentions relevant to the action described in this notice. The comment forum will begin July 15, 2013, and stay open a minimum of 45 days.
