Family PACT Terminates Two Pregnancy Test Only Diagnosis Codes (S Codes)

Effective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2014, the Family PACT Program is terminating primary diagnosis codes S601: (pregnancy testing only) and S602: (confirmation of pregnancy test results with physical examination). CPT Code 81025 (urine pregnancy test, by visual color comparison methods) will continue as a program benefit, as clinically indicated, during method initiation or for follow-up and management of a contraceptive method.
