MSP Payment Calculator Now Offers Enhanced Details

Use the updated MSP Payment calculator to assist in determining the line by line claim payment for covered services when Medicare is the secondary payer. The Medicare remittance advice and the primary payer Explanation of Benefits (EOB) will provide the numbers needed for the MSP calculator. The MSP calculator allows the user to enter claim line details and view the estimated MSP payment and patient responsibility. Using the “Calculate with Details” option provides the Medicare primary payment, the primary allowed amount and the primary allowed minus primary paid amount for the information entered.
