Policy and Coding Updates : Lab National Coverage Determinations (NCDs)

Effective for dates of service on or after 1/1/13, Aetna will apply the 23 CMS lab NCDs to participating and nonparticipating Medicare Advantage claims. Implementation of the lab NCDs was completed on 6/20/2013. You can view lab NCDs at the CMS website.
