BRAF Gene Analysis Adds Two Diagnosis Codes

Effective for dates of service on or after February 1, 2016, ICD-10 codes C19 (malignant neoplasm of rectosigmoid junction) and C20 (malignant neoplasm of rectum) are added to the list of diagnosis of inclusion for CPT code 81210 (BRAF [v-raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1] [eg, colon cancer], gene analysis, V600E variant).
