Claims for Chorionic Gonadotropin Erroneously Denied

Effective retroactively for dates of service on or after October 1, 2015, some claims billed for CPT codes 84702 (gonadotropin, chorionic; quantitative) and 84703 (…qualitative) with ICD-10-CM diagnosis code Z33.2 were erroneously denied. The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is correcting this error. An Erroneous Payment Correction (EPC) will be implemented to reprocess affected claims.
