Diagnostic Radiology: Proposed 2016 MPFS Released

CMS issued its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for the Calendar Year 2016 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS). The rule contains proposed payment and programmatic changes for radiology services covered under the MPFS effective on or after January 1, 2016. The proposed rule has a 60-day period for public comments that closes on September 8, 2015.  RBMA will be commenting on relevant proposed policy changes to the agency. CMS’ final rule on the CY 2016 MPFS is expected to be published on or about November 1, 2015.
