Drug Testing Medicare Advantage claims for facilities

On January 28, 2016, CMS Provider eNews confirmed that there were systems errors affecting claims with new drug testing laboratory codes (HCPCS G0477-G0483) with dates of service on or after January 1. This error is also affecting Regence BCBS Medicare Advantage claims from facilities. Regence systems should be updated with the corrected information by the end of May. If you are removing HCPCS G0477-G0483 from your claims, please submit a Corrected Bill including the G codes beginning June 1.  If you have continued including HCPCS G0477-G0483 on your claims and received denials for OCE 006 (Invalid Procedure), Regence will reprocess these claims after their systems are updated. They expect to have all claims reprocessed by the end of June.
