Duplicate payments to be mass adjusted

The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) recently experienced a systems error resulting in duplicate payments to some providers for fee-for-service (FFS) claims processed from September 23, 2013, through October 4, 2013. HP will mass adjust claims receiving duplicate payments to recoup overpayments. These adjustments will begin appearing on the provider Remittance Advice (RA) dated November 19, 2013, and can be identified by an internal control number (ICN) that begins with a region code of 56 (mass adjustment). The overpayment will appear as an accounts receivable for each duplicate payment received. Each accounts receivable will be recouped at 100% from future claims paid to the respective provider number.
