Erroneous RTDs Issuing for Outpatient and Medical Claims

DHCS is aware of a system problem, inappropriately sending Resubmission Turnaround Document (RTD) with Remittance Advice Detail code 0196: This procedure requires a modifier; modifier is not present for claims processed on or after June 22, 2015, involving Outpatient and Medical claim types. For those providers impacted, no action is required for these RTDs. The impacted claims will be reprocessed by Xerox State Healthcare, LLC (Xerox). Providers must continue to submit the claims based on the published policy, to keep claims timely. A fix is being developed by the technical team and will be implemented as soon as possible.
