Frequency Editing for lab services (Feb. 2014) for Anthem BCBS Colorado and Nevada

For claims processed on or after May 19, 2014, ClaimsXten® will automatically administer a frequency edit to allow routine venipuncture CPT code 36415 and HCPCS code S9529 and capillary blood collection CPT code 36416 once per member, per provider, per date of service. This frequency limit was documented in the Laboratory and Venipuncture policy effective November 21, 2010 and will now be included in the Frequency Editing policy.
