Medi-Cal: Denied Claims for Every Woman Counts Program Update

Xerox State Healthcare, LLC (Xerox) has corrected the problem that caused claims for services under the Every Woman Counts (EWC) program to suspend or deny. Xerox understands this resulted in a checkwrite reduction for some providers who provide EWC services. Xerox has reprocessed those claims that previously suspended, and claims that previously denied will result in a future Erroneous Payment Correction (EPC). Providers do not need to take any further action at this time. Every Woman Counts (EWC) program is a breast and cervical cancer screening program.
