New York Providers Must Report All Point-of-Care COVID-19 Tests Results Electronically
October 13, 2020All laboratories and facilities that perform POC testing for SARS-CoV-2, including urgent care centers, medical offices, hospitals, nursing homes, pharmacies, and clinics, must report all test results (i.e., positive, negative, indeterminate) within three hours of receipt via ECLRS. POC tests for SARS-CoV-2 include nucleic acid amplification tests, antigen tests, and serologic (antibody) tests. Providers who do not currently have access to ECLRS should continue to report test results to the NYC Health Department’s online portal, and if unable to use the online portal, via facsimile, until ECLRS reporting is established.
