Ordering/Referring Physician required on claim

As of January 1, 2014 Oklahoma Health Care Authority will implement a new edit that requires the National Provider Identifier (NPI) of the ordering or referring provider on some claims. If the billing provider type or billing provider specialty is laboratory/laboratory group, and there is not an ordering or referring NPI on the claim, the system will deny the claim.
