Radiology Notification and Prior Authorization Program Procedure Code Changes – Effective Jan.1, 2012

Effective Jan. 1, 2012, UnitedHealthcare is making changes to the procedure code list for the Radiology Notification and Prior Authorization Programs. Claims with dates of service on or after Jan.1, 2012 are subject to these changes. Based upon changes by the AMA, a total of seven CPT codes are being added to the notification and prior authorization list; 11 CPT codes are being deleted from the notification and prior authorization list and 1 CPT code description is being revised in the notification and prior authorization list.
