Radiology Rate Reduction

Senate Bill 853 specifies that Medi-Cal reimbursement rates for radiology services must not exceed 80 percent of the corresponding Medicare rate. Effective retroactively for dates of service on or after October 1, 2012, rates that exceed 80 percent of the Medicare rate will be reduced to that amount. The professional component percentage for these codes will be updated to match the Medicare amount. In addition, the rates for CPT codes 70010 – 79999 will be revised.
