Technology Assessment of Genetic Testing for Risk of Recurrent Cancer

Genetic tests can improve prognostic accuracy for recurrence of various cancers, according to a technology assessment by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) that is available for public review. However, the review finds evidence lacking about the “overarching question” of whether use of these tests improve patient outcomes and about standardization of these tests in the laboratory.
