2015 CPT/HCPCS Code Updates and Reimbursement Treatment – Commercial Products Only

On January 1, 2015, the AMA and CMS released new CPT and HCPCS codes.  Many codes released as part of their updates will be accepted by BCBS Georgia; however, the following new 2015 codes will not be eligible for reimbursement for our Commercial products only:

• Codes G6030 – G6058 (Definitive Drug Testing) – Reimbursement will only be provided for the applicable new 2015 CPT codes
• Code G0472 (Hepatitis C antibody screening for high risk) – Reimbursement will only be provided for the applicable existing CPT code
