Alcohol Test Billing Update

Effective for dates of service on or after June 1, 2009, CPT-4 code 82055 (alcohol [ethanol]; any specimen except breath) is reimbursable in all instances except for claims billed with ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes V70.1, V70.3, V70.4 and 305.01.

In addition, codes 82060, 82065 and 82070 are now obsolete and are no longer reimbursable for any services.
