American College of Radiology Touts Key Imaging Provisions in House Spending Bill

September 11, 2025

The House Appropriations Committee’s proposed 2026 spending bill includes several imaging‐related provisions that the American College of Radiology strongly supports, such as calling out radiology exams as “essential components of cancer diagnosis and treatment” and emphasizing research into theranostics.

It also boosts funding for the National Institutes of Health, the National Cancer Institute, and the Office for Research on Women’s Health, while adding funds to programs like the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program.
