This article corrects a previous article published in Medicare B News Issue 256 on August 26, 2009. CPT 80050 is a non-covered panel and should not have been included in the “Organ or Disease Oriented Panels” chart. Any automated or non-automated tests that are under the CPT 80050 lab panel should be billed individually. Additionally, CPT 80072 and 80090 are deleted panels and should not have been included in the “Organ or Disease Oriented Panels” chart.
