Revisions made on  March 1, 2020, and Policy was published on March 6, 2020. Policy effective 03-01-2020. In Policy section: § In Item E removed “reviewed for medical necessity on a case-by-case basis” and added “U0001” and “considered medically necessary” to read “The Respiratory Virus Panel (CPT codes 87631, 87632, 87633, U0001, U0002, 0098U, 0099U, 0100U, 0115U) may be considered medically necessary.” In Coding section: § Added HCPCS Codes: U0001, U0002 (Codes Effective 02-04-2020).
