BCBS Texas: Additional Claim Processing Enhancements for ERS Plans Effective October 21, 2024

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas will implement pre-payment claim reviews for Employee Retirement System of Texas (ERS) plans starting October 21, 2024. These reviews, conducted by CERIS, aim to improve billing accuracy by reviewing claims before payment. Providers may be asked to submit documentation, such as itemized bills, to CERIS for these reviews, which could reduce post-payment refund requests.
