BIG Changes in Medical Review: Teleconference 10/19/2017

This teleconference is intended for WPS J5/J8 Part A/B providers billing on a UB-04/CMS-1500 or electronic equivalent. NGS medical review process is changing! This is the biggest change to claims review in 20 years. CMS identified that the results of targeted probe and review pilots have been so favorable, based on the decrease in the number of claims errors after provider education, that they are expanding the targeted probe and educate to all MAC medical review strategy. Representatives from Medical Review and Provider Outreach and Education will discuss the new process flow called Targeted Probe and Educate (TPE), explain how this will affect you as well as host an open question and answer session for providers seeking additional clarification.
