Important changes in coverage criteria to the following sections:
- Obstetrics/Gynecology
- Added new code CPT proprietary laboratory analyses (PLA) code 0243U:
- Obstetrics (preeclampsia), biochemical assay of placental-growth factor, time-resolved fluorescence immunoassay, maternal serum, predictive algorithm reported as a risk score for preeclampsia.
- Code is EIU.
- Added new code CPT proprietary laboratory analyses (PLA) code 0243U:
- Gastroenterology
- Added new code HCPCS code C9777:
- Esophageal mucosal integrity testing by electrical impedance, transoral (list separately in addition to code for primary procedure).
- Code is always EIU.
- Added new code HCPCS code C9777:
Genetic Testing for Reproductive Carrier Screening and Prenatal Diagnosis – (0514)
- Important changes in coverage criteria, effective July 15, 2021:
- Changed CPT code 81443 from covered to not medically necessary (NMN).
- Updated coding tables to reflect numerous CPT and ICD-10 codes as covered.
