Clinical Laboratories: Prepare Now to Report Lab Data January 1- March 31, 2017

All Applicable Laboratories must report private payer reimbursement data to CMS pursuant to PAMA . The first data collection period begins January 1, 2016, through June 30, 2016. Those laboratories must report their data to the CMS beginning January 1, 2017, through March 31, 2017. CMS will use this data to calculate clinical laboratory fee schedule (CLFS) payment rates for 2018. If you are an Applicable Lab required to report pricing data please note the following:

• Confirm your enrollment data in the Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS) is correct.

• Identify who will submit and certify your Clinical Lab Fee Schedule (CLFS) data. These 2 individuals must register in the Enterprise Identity Management system (EIDM) and request a CLFS submitter or certifier role in the Fee-for-Service Data Collection System.
