
COMMERCIAL BANKING SERVICES CONTRACT AWARD UPDATE
April 2, 2010On March 1, 2010, CMS issued Joint Signature Memorandum/Technical Direction Letter (JSM/TDL-10162) to advise all Medicare claims processing contractors that CMS had divided the Medicare claims processing contractors into two banking workloads. Workload A was awarded to US Bank. Workload B was awarded to JP Morgan Chase. Workload A (US Bank) consists of:
- CIGNA Government Services
- Highmark Medicare Services
- National Government Services
- National Heritage Insurance Company
- Noridian Administrative Services
Workload B (JP Morgan Chase) consists of:
- Cahaba Government Benefit Administrators
- Pinnacle Business Solutions
- First Coast Service Options
- Palmetto GBA
- TrailBlazer Health Enterprises
- Wisconsin Physicians Service
Under these contracts, NAS shall use the full Internet banking capabilities provided by the banks for Workload A. These services shall be employed using secure Internet connections, in accordance with the CMS and United States Treasury Internet security policies. The software and the connections provided by the banks meet these policies. NAS is responsible for working with CMS and the banks during the transition process throughout the summer of 2010.
