Crackdown on Price Transparency Rules for Hospitals and Payers
May 30, 2025An executive order has been issued to crack down on price transparency rules for hospitals and payers. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services also issued new guidance (PDF) reforming and updating the hospital price transparency program. The document says that hospitals must post their prices in actual amounts and not estimates.
