Frequency Limit Increase to Infectious Agent Detection

Effective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2015, CPT code 87798 (infectious agent detection by nucleic acid [DNA or RNA], not otherwise specified; amplified probe technique, each organism), the daily maximum frequency is increased from one per day to a maximum of three per day.
