Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) Implemented the Annual 2021 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System

In January 2021, Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) implemented the annual 2021 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) deletions, changes, and additions effective for dates of service on or after January 1, 2021. Updates can be found on the Provider Rates & Fee Schedules web page. Claims billed with HCPCS 2021 procedure codes will suspend for EOB 0000 – “This claim/service is pending for program review” until the updates are completed in the Colorado interChange. The claims will be released once the rates are loaded.
