Humana – COVID-19 Related Coding Update 1/1/2021

Molecular testing The following procedure codes are available for COVID-19 molecular testing. HCPCS code U0001 is not appropriate for reporting a COVID-19 diagnostic test other than the CDC-developed test kit. HCPCS code U0005 is only reported in conjunction with either HCPCS code U0003 or U0004. All applicable requirements CMS has established for the billing of HCPCS code U0005 must be met.
