Laboratory Service Provider Alert – Z-identifiers

Provider laboratories currently still using PTI test identifiers must update to using Z-identifiers on their claims no later than November 1, 2016. Effective November 1, 2016, laboratory providers submitting claims for molecular tests must only use Z-identifiers in the SV-101-7 claim field. Claims with PTI test identifiers will reject. Z-identifiers are assigned within the McKesson Diagnostics Exchange™ (DEX) (https://app.mckessondex.com/login). If you do not have a Z-identifier, please update your test’s registration within DEX.
