Laboratory Services Rates Updated

In accordance with Assembly Bill (AB) 1494 (Chapter 28, Statutes 2012), the Medi-Cal reimbursement rates for clinical laboratory and laboratory services were reduced by 10 percent for dates of service from July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2015. Effective for dates of service on or after July 1, 2015, a new rate reimbursement methodology, as amended by AB 1494, replaces the previous rate reduction. An Erroneous Payment Correction will be implemented for dates of service on or after July 1, 2012.
