Medi-Cal – Adjustment of Claims for Select COVID-19 Vaccine Procedure Codes

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) identified a claims processing issue affecting claims billed with select COVID-19 vaccine procedure codes and modifier SL (state-supplied vaccine). This issue caused some claims to erroneously pay. The issue affected claims with dates of service from August 14, 2023, through December 27, 2023.
