Medi-Cal HIPAA Code Conversion for Local Modifier ZS Not Yet Implemented

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) previously announced the scheduled implementation date of the HIPAA code conversion for local modifier ZS for first quarter of 2014. The changes concerning modifier ZS have not yet been implemented and the project continues to be delayed. DHCS will provide an update of the billing requirements and the implementation date in a future Medi-Cal Update.
