Medi-Cal Managed Care Update: Imperial County

Effective November 1, 2013, the governor’s budget expands managed care into counties that are now fee-for-service only. This expansion will provide beneficiaries throughout the state with care through an organized delivery system. The plan model type for Imperial County is the imperial model. Health Care Plans (HCPs) will be available in this county as follows:

• California Health and Wellness Plan (CHWP) will be providing its services to Imperial County as HCP 143.
• Molina Healthcare of California Partner Plan, Inc. (Molina) will be providing its services to Imperial County as HCP 145.
