NEW APPEALS SUBMISSION CRITERIA FOR THREE LABORATORY ‘NOT OTHERWISE CLASSIFIED’ (NOC) CODES

Highmark recently changed the minimum documentation requirements for reimbursement appeals for the following three laboratory NOC procedure codes: 81479, 81599 and 84999. Effective immediately, providers must provide responses to code-specific questionnaires for reimbursement appeals. Incomplete submissions may delay reimbursement.
