NEW APPEALS SUBMISSION CRITERIA FOR THREE LABORATORY ‘NOT OTHERWISE CLASSIFIED’ (NOC) CODES
February 26, 2015Highmark recently changed the minimum documentation requirements for reimbursement appeals for the following three laboratory NOC procedure codes: 81479, 81599 and 84999. Effective immediately, providers must provide responses to code-specific questionnaires for reimbursement appeals. Incomplete submissions may delay reimbursement.
