Non-Benefit List Sections Updated

The Non-Benefit List sections of the Provider manual have been updated to reflect changes introduced by the 2014 CPT/HCPCS Annual Update. Updated codes in these sections will be effective for dates of service on or after July 1, 2014. The May 2014 Medi-Cal Update included a list of ICD-9-CM codes that are not reimbursable when billed with CPT and HCPCS codes 80155, 80159, 80169, 80171, 80175, 80180, 80180, 80183, 80199, 80203, 87661, 88343, G0461 and G0462. That list of ICD-9-CM codes is inaccurate. The correct ICD-9-CM codes for those CPT and HCPCS codes are: V70.0, V70.5 – V70.9, V72, V72.11, V72.12, V72.19 and V72.9.
