Potential Medicare billing and payment impacts due to Hurricane Matthew

While Hurricane Matthew did not affect First Coast Service Options’ (First Coast) operations, many of First Coast’s Medicare customers did experience storm-related impacts. In response to potential damage, First Coast is working to determine how to best help impacted health care providers as they recover.  They have provided are some helpful tips related to communication, benefit payments, and operational processes that may warrant special consideration.
