Rates Established for Select Drug Screening and Drug Testing Codes

Effective retroactively for dates of service on or after October 1, 2015, reimbursement rates have been established for the following drug screening and definitive drug testing CPT codes. These codes no longer require billing “By Report:”- 80300, 80301, 80303, 80304, 80320, 80323, 80324, 80329, 80342, 80345, 80349, 80353, 80358 and 80369. Claims for CPT codes 80302, 80327, 80335, 80339, 80346 and 80361 should continue to be billed “By Report.” An Erroneous Payment Correction (EPC) will occur for claims adjudicated prior to the rate establishment.
