Leaders within the radiology community are warning that proposed federal cuts to Medicaid could significantly strain hospitals and imaging providers, particularly in rural areas where healthcare systems already operate on thin margins. The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) said the Trump administration’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (HR 1) includes plans to reduce federal Medicaid spending by roughly $1 trillion over the next decade.
