The West Region Benefit Lookup Tool, available to registered users on the secure provider portal at www.triwest.com/provider, allows you to query whether a service is a covered benefit; whether the service requires a referral or an authorization; and whether the service needs medical review. Users enter codes (CPT, HCPCS) and additional information including code type, plan, date of service, age, and gender. The ICD-9 code is optional. However, the information, including benefit exceptions, displayed in your results will be more complete when you enter the ICD-9 code.
