WellPoint Name Change To Anthem Official, Reflects Brand

WellPoint, Inc., one of the nation’s largest health insurance companies, officially became Anthem, Inc. Anthem markets its plans under the Anthem Blue Cross brand in California and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in all other states it operates except Georgia and New York. In New York, Anthem operates as Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield and in Georgia it’s Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia.
