Kyu Rhee, MD, MPP
Former CMO of CVS, Health and Human Services, and IBM
With a focus on improving the health system for underserved and marginalized populations, Dr. Rhee has led
diverse, transdisciplinary teams across nonprofit, public, and private sectors. As Senior Vice President and
Aetna Chief Medical Officer at CVS Health, he oversaw a team of 1,500+ health professionals, delivering
integrated clinical and population health solutions to enhance care for up to 65M individuals. Previously,
as the Chief Health Officer of IBM, he spearheaded global efforts to transform healthcare through data,
analytics, AI, and research.
Dr. Rhee has also served in federal government roles at HHS, leading
initiatives to improve access, health equity, and public health. He began his career as a National Health
Service Corps primary care physician, working in FQHCs in Washington, DC, and Baltimore. Dr. Rhee is a
dual-board-certified physician, holding a medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University
of Southern California, a master’s degree in healthcare policy from Harvard University, and a BS degree from
Yale University.
Jane Hermansen
Manager, Outreach and Network Development, Mayo Clinic
Jane Hermansen brings over 35 years of clinical laboratory experience to her role. She directs outreach
consulting and health plan contracting network activities for hospital laboratories nationwide. With a BA in
Medical Technology from Concordia College and an MBA from the New York Institute of Technology, Jane is a
past president of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association. She has presented at 150+ professional
meetings, written industry articles, and trained over 1,800 laboratory professionals in customer service.
Jane’s expertise encompasses clinical research, process engineering, consulting, training, facilitation, and
project management. Her dedication drives Mayo Clinic Laboratories’ success in advancing patient care.
Dean Braun
Senior Vice President, OmniSYS—XiFin Pharmacy Solutions
Dean Braun is a seasoned healthcare information technology professional, with more than two decades of sales
leadership expertise. For the past eight years, Dean has led the rapid business development expansion at
OmniSYS, working with the largest retail chains and hospital outpatient pharmacies in the country. Prior to
his role with OmniSYS, he spent twelve years at McKesson, where he held various sales leadership positions,
including his role as Vice President of Sales in McKesson’s Technology Solutions group. During his tenure,
he successfully launched and expanded their Strategic Sourcing business. Prior to McKesson, Dean served as a
sales leader at IDX Systems Corporation, a prominent provider of physician practice management and
electronic medical record solutions, which is now part of GE Healthcare. Dean holds a BS degree from the
University of Central Florida.
